Starting his career with almost five years in business and taxation advisory and owning and operating his own small business, Tim brings a wealth of business experience and technical expertise to his work in the insolvency industry. In recent years, he has focused on formal corporate engagements in construction, logistics, manufacturing, and finance.
Helping businesses survive, using Australia’s formal and informal insolvency regimes, is one of the most rewarding aspects of Tim’s work. Though where this is not possible, he is able to manage the process of selling a business or winding down its affairs through a formal appointment. One of the proudest moments in his career to date was facilitating a complex business sale through a voluntary administration process, which saved over 100 jobs and preserved an iconic Australian brand in one transaction.
Whether he is helping clients manage complex tax debts or providing expert financial statement analysis and assistance to litigation lawyers in support of complex claims, Tim’s clients value his ability to back his technical competence with action. When he tells his clients that he will do something, they trust that it will get done.
With his background in small business, Tim can see the world through his clients’ eyes. This allows him to design solutions to problems that will best suit his client’s individual circumstances. Tim understands the need for clients to have timely, honest, and accurate advice regarding the options available to their business. Helping business owners to effectively navigate the complexities of the insolvency regime is something that Tim relishes in his role as a trusted advisor.
Tim joined Pitcher Partners Melbourne firm in 2013 and became a partner in 2022.
