Theo has extensive experience providing advice across all areas of taxation specialising in international tax and business advice to inbound and outbound business clients and wealthy family offices.
Over the last 15 years, Theo has been leading his global colleagues in the coordination and advancement of tax expertise within Baker Tilly International through client engagements, committees and strategic initiatives both in the Asia Pacific region and more broadly. Theo’s extensive insights and networks are invaluable for our clients with international activities and investments.
Recent significant experience includes advising on a listed public company’s international restructuring and cross border transactions, advising a large family group’s offshore business expansion and managing complex Australian Taxation Office audits and reviews.
Theo is a member of the Australian Government Treasury’s Tax Treaties Advisory Panel and consults on various Australian Taxation Office consultative forums. He was invited to act as an international tax advisor to the Australian Board of Taxation, and his advice is regularly sought out by leading bodies and policy makers.
As an extrovert who aims make a positive impact on others, Theo continuously invests in the development of his team and colleagues. He is a frequent presenter to various professional bodies and loves connecting his clients to new business opportunities. He interacts daily with colleagues in network firms around the world and enjoys deepening his understanding of different climates and cultures.
Theo joined the Melbourne partnership in 2005.
