Peter enjoys working closely with clients to get the best outcomes and results for their businesses. He has extensive knowledge of cashflow management, management reporting, Capital Gains Tax and Small Business Capital Gains Concessions. His experience spans a number of industries including property, construction, infrastructure, telecommunications, retail, hospitality and the medical profession.
Peter has developed a special interest in forecasting and the structuring of businesses. He assists with property transactions and developments, structuring to increase tax effectiveness and asset protection, and minimisation of tax on the sale of businesses through the application of the small business capital gains concessions.
Peter develops strong, long-term relationships with his clients. He offers holistic advice rather than just focussing on the issue at hand, to ensure businesses formulate actionable plans that help them achieve their goals. Having held commercial roles in the past, Peter appreciates the daily challenges faced in business, and the need for timely and accurate information to confidently make decisions. He also understands the importance of establishing the correct business structure to mitigate business risks.
Peter’s career began as a trainee in a small local practice before moving to larger firms whilst completing his degree. He took the opportunity to further his growth by working at a large family owned construction and infrastructure business. Joining Pitcher Partners Newcastle and Hunter marked a return to public practice. Peter became a partner on 1 July 2020.
