Melanie is a proven leader and a trusted advisor. Her breadth of experience spans management reporting, financial analysis, budgeting and cash flow management, and taxation advice and assistance. Melanie seeks out new challenges and has a special interest in helping retail businesses remain competitive.
Melanie’s empathy for her clients is visible in the effort she makes to discover the human side of each business. Her insights and solutions are then clearly tailored to her clients’ unique needs. With her approachable nature, clients find Melanie easy to talk to, even about complex tax matters.
Driven by a passion for business development and innovation, Melanie leads Pitcher Partners collaboration with Startupbootcamp, one of the world’s largest business accelerators. This relationship enables her to bring learnings from other sectors into conversations with clients across a range of industries.
Melanie is a champion of reimagining workplace structure and culture to accommodate diversity and enhance mental wellbeing. She was one of the first senior Pitcher Partners team members to test initiatives that balance the work-home dynamic, which have now been rolled out firmwide. As a senior female leader, she relishes being a role model for junior colleagues.
With experience working in industry, Melanie understands how to mitigate business challenges and seize opportunities. She previously worked as the senior finance manager for the Walt Disney Company in the UK and as a business performance and analysis manager at Coles.
Melanie originally joined Pitcher Partners as a graduate. The opportunity to grow alongside established clients while actively forging new business relationships drew her back to Pitcher Partners in 2011. She became a proud partner of the Melbourne firm in 2017.
