
Kerry is a financial reporting specialist, advising on accounting technical and related law matters to the firm’s clients, partners and staff. With over 25 years of professional experience in a range of accounting, governance and audit related roles, Kerry understands the reporting and legislative challenges that preparers face in the listed and private company sectors.
Over the course of her career, Kerry has held technical/ policy roles within the Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CA ANZ), Australian Charities and Not-for- Profit Commission (ACNC), Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and a Big 4 accounting practice. She has provided advice and training in each of these roles on accounting technical and law related matters. She has spent time in these roles on various councils and committees including the ASX Corporate Governance Council and the AICD’s Reporting Committee.
Kerry is involved in providing advice to listed companies on the appropriate accounting treatment and disclosures in their financial reports. Common areas of advice are on revenue, share-based payments, leases and financial instruments. Further, she is involved in our advocacy activities with regulators and standard setters, bringing practicalities for clients and staff into consideration.
Kerry supports the audit team on keeping up to date with legislative and technical changes affecting ASX-listed companies.
She also regularly presents webinars and provides online articles and resources to clients and staff, on how accounting standards and law-related changes affect for-profit and private sector entities.
