Brendan became the managing partner of Pitcher Partners Melbourne in 2017. He is a knowledgeable and down-to-earth leader, with a gift for negotiating consensus and rallying colleagues to action.
The Melbourne firm has grown and evolved with Brendan at the helm. He has an eye for future business challenges and introduced a data analytics service to help clients make evidence-based decisions to support business performance and improvement. Brendan has also overseen the implementation of programmes to nurture the firm’s people. This includes refreshing the firm’s value proposition, rolling out learning and development programmes, and overseeing flexible working policies.
Brendan respects that middle market business owners are investing their own money, time and energy into the day-to-day operations of their businesses. He is proud to be trusted in key roles for them, such as executor and trustee. He is also a reliable and sympathetic ear for owner-managers who may experience what he terms “professional loneliness”.
Alongside his role as managing partner, Brendan lends his professional expertise across accounting and advisory, audit and assurance, and corporate finance. He has a passion for property and development, funds management and the retail and wholesale sectors.
Brendan previously served as partner of the Business Advisory and Assurance practice area. He began working at Pitcher Partners as a graduate accountant in 1996 and is proud that his family considers many colleagues and clients as genuine friends. For Brendan, this personal touch is what sets Pitcher Partners apart.
