About the team 

The focus of the IT Services team is to enable automation and provide our internal clients with the best technology and applications, ensuring they can effectively support the firm’s clients’ needs.  

The team comprises two core streams: IT Operations (includes the service desk team, technical consulting team, and IT training team) and Applications (includes the database & application support team and the DevOps & automation development team). 

About the role 

This role has a strategic and management focus across the complete Pitcher Partners IT Infrastructure environment, the technical team and partner relationships supporting and managing this offering/function. 

Working closely with the IT Leadership Team in successfully architecting, optimizing, supporting, and refining the infrastructure/cloud/networking environment to be on the front foot of evolving technology, keeping Pitcher Partners secure, as well as providing exceptional service to stakeholders and the wider Firm. 

Key responsibilities 

  • Develop an Infrastructure strategy with key stakeholders to deliver optimized IT solutions and research applicable technologies and automation solutions 
  • Partner with relevant vendors to deliver innovative and cost effective, technology solutions and ensure alignment with Pitcher Partners’ strategies. 
  • Proactively engage with key stakeholders and team members on strategies and act as the key contact for escalated technical issues. 
  • Be the key point of engagement with vendors and partners for technical or technology issues. 
  • Manage and administer systems, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and backup & storage solutions, and oversee email security and asset management. 
  • Assist with technical requirements, guidance, implementation, troubleshooting, and testing for projects. 
  • Provide technical support and guidance, manage escalations, and collaborate with the Applications team on changes and projects. 

Who we’re after 

Here are the some of the key qualifications, skills and personal attributes we’re looking for. If you tick most of the boxes, but not all – that’s ok! We’d still love for you to apply. 

  • Hands-on technical knowledge of core technologies including Azure Resources and Services, and Core Networking. 
  • Experience in a technical/management position, including working with the full Azure Cloud environment and MSP/vendor partnerships. 
  • Skills and experience in network design, architecture, and support, and experience working closely with Applications and Infrastructure support teams.  
  • ITIL certified with experience in applying ITIL principles to manage issues, problems, and incidents, and customer service management standards.
