The gaps, which are primarily centred around people and performance management and communication, are likely to grow if businesses don’t have the right frameworks in place for an effective transition to a COVID normal environment.

The new accounting standards for revenue and income of NFPs first applied from 1 January 2019 with an option to delay the start date by six months in relation to research grants.

Stamp duty waivers for purchases of residential property in Victoria

The Victorian Government 2020-21 State Budget included an announcement of stamp duty waivers of up to 50% on transfers of residential property in Victoria with a dutiable value of up to $1 million. The waivers apply to contracts entered into between 25 November 2020 and 30 June 2021.
