
Chanel joined Pitcher Partners in 2020 as a Manager in the National Tax Group, working her way up to Client Director in 2025. Chanel has over 10 years of experience, and specialises in private wealth taxation, particularly Division 7A, trusts, corporate tax, managed funds and engagement with Australian Tax Office (ATO) reviews and disputes.
Chanel began her career at the ATO and gained experience in private wealth through various roles in audit and technical engagements. Chanel has also worked in the tax policy team within Treasury, which included the Budget process and dealing with Ministers. Her role saw her delivering legislative change and enhancing tax policies.
Chanel leverages her extensive experience from government roles and private advisory to advocate for clients with the ATO to achieve optimal results. As part of the National Tax Group, she advises both staff and clients on legislative developments, preparing them appropriately to be able to meet evolving compliance requirements. Chanel leads the firm’s internal training and communication initiatives on tax measures, ensuring our team remains well-informed on the latest tax regulations and policies. Additionally, Chanel collaborates with regulatory bodies such as the ATO, TPB, and Treasury to offer insights on the formulation of laws affecting her clients, while also seeking further guidance to navigate complex tax policies.
