Strength in numbers: Client-focused strategies key as Pitcher Partners expands revenue, talent and impact
Pitcher Partners strengthened its revenue while remaining an employer of choice for graduates in Australia, as it holds its place among the nation’s top 10 accounting firms.
The Top 100 list, published in the Australian Financial Review, showed Pitcher Partners grew its revenue by 7% in the 2024 financial year to $349 million, retaining ninth place.
The network of six independent firms in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Newcastle also grew its Partner numbers by 10 to 148 during the year.
John Brazzale, Pitcher Partners National Chairman, said the robust revenue growth came through Partners and staff repeatedly demonstrating value to clients.
“In the face of a fluid business environment, we have continued to grow because our network has remained resilient and responsive to clients,” he said.
“We support clients with complex problems and help them capitalise on new opportunities, which sets them up for continued success and delivers the value they seek.
“We measure our success through the lens of our clients’ success, and the revenue and network growth is a byproduct of our commitment to making business personal.”
While many accounting firms reduced their graduate intake numbers in 2024, Pitcher Partners continued to invest in attracting the nation’s brightest graduates, bringing in 132 recent university graduates.
“We’ve always viewed our graduates as the future of our network and our strong graduate programs are a strategic decision that reflects the network’s commitment to nurturing new talent and fostering innovative thinking,” he said.
“Graduates are well supported with training, mentoring and development, which means Pitcher Partners is securing its future, but this investment also contributes to a more dynamic workforce that is continuously evolving to serve the changing needs of our clients.”
