Due to on-going growth we
currently have a vacancy for a enthusiastic and driven Senior Accountant to
join our Private Business Family Advisory division.
The Role
You will
become a part of a fast growing business unit with a broad range of clients
from a number of industries.
The Private Business Family Advisory team not only conducts the taxation and
accounting needs of clients but provides unique advisory services and has a
niche market reputation, providing unrivaled opportunities, and strong
interaction with all other business units with the firm. We have a flat line
management structure, providing easy access to multiple Partners, whilst
working predominantly for the team Manager.
The successful candidate will take the job from start to finish and deal
directly with the clients. We work across a broad range of clients including
ASX-listed companies, large private companies, Small-to-Medium Enterprises (SME’s)
and High Net-Worth Individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviews
financial accounts, tax returns, business activity statements, instalment
activity statements and other work performed by Intermediates, Graduates and
Cadets who work on their clients - Prepares more
complex corporate and company tax returns - Solid
understanding of Corporations Act, accounting standards, tax legislation and
other research as they relate to the work undertaken - Detailed
understanding of company secretarial matters such as lodgements, fees and
general requirements - Prepares
and reviews complex fringe benefits tax returns - Good
understanding of state taxes - Prepares
complex individual, company, trust, partnership tax returns with limited
supervision or direction - Detailed
knowledge of tax office correspondence and procedures (including assessment,
objections, ect) - Prepares
and analyses management reports for clients (i.e cashflows reports, budget ect) - Good
working knowledge of GST, Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity
Statements - Prepares
and reviews work papers, analysis of client data and transactions and setting
up accounts onto the accounting package in accordance with present standards - Understanding
complex accounting standards - Prepares
complex financial reports from client data - Carries out
analytical review procedures, including ratio analysis - Ability to
prepare well drafted, high level reports for more senior staff to review - Prepare
draft invoices to manager/partners at the end of an engagement - Prepares
and analyses standard management reports for clients
Who we are after
Here are the key qualifications, skills and
personal attributes we’re looking for. If you tick most of the boxes, but not

The candidate will ideally be in their final stages
of completing their CA program with 3-4 years of experience within a business
services division.
We are particularly looking for:
- Reporting skills – a comfort in
attending to all types of corporate, trust, super and individual accounting and
taxation compliance of a simple to moderate complexity, with minimal
supervision. - Ideally experience with family office
and high net wealth passive wealth clients - Ability to build strong relationships
- Problem solving skills – you will be
able to demonstrate the ability to “think outside the square” - A confident demeanor and the ability
to interface with clients, and earn their respect - Strong attention to detail
- An entrepreneurial spirit
Our business is structured so that over the longer

The salary range for this role is $75,000-$95,000
package (inclusive of superannuation).
