July 2022 Investment News

The information in these articles are current as at 7 July 2022.

Welcome to the July 2022 Investment news.

The June quarter has been a particularly challenging one for investors as inflation concerns saw Central Banks move aggressively on interest rates triggering a revaluation of investments. The impact was widespread leaving few asset classes unaffected. However, growth orientated investments such as technology companies were particularly impacted as investors became increasingly short term orientated.

The start of the new financial year sees a number of changes to the rules relating to superannuation, which will open the door for you to strategically build retirement wealth for yourself and potentially for the benefit of the next generation. For those still a while off retirement, it may be a good opportunity to review your personal insurance to ensure that you are not paying for cover you do not need or to ensure your cover is appropriate following a June pay review.
