Irina specialises in state taxes, including duty and land tax. Throughout her career, she has provided comprehensive and practical multi-jurisdictional advice on the consequences and opportunities across several sectors in relation to a broad range of matters. These matters include business and asset acquisitions, corporate group restructures, strategic structuring of transactions and projects to achieve efficiencies, land rich, landholder and trust acquisition duties, foreign duty and land tax surcharges, Windfall Gains Tax and state tax exemptions and concessions.
Clients value Irina’s technical skills, keen eye for detail and ability to work through highly complex property and business structuring issues in a logical manner, producing commercially favourable outcomes. She also represents clients in matters with the relevant revenue authorities, including for the purposes of private ruling and exemption applications, voluntary disclosures and negotiations.
A member of the Tax Institute’s Victorian State Taxes Committee and a member of the Property Council of Australia’s New South Wales Tax Advisory Group, Irina specialises in advising clients within the property industry.
