Joining Pitcher Partners in 2007, Yina has worked with clients across a range of industries, including logistics, property, and financial services, to name a few. She became a partner of the Melbourne firm in 2021.
Yina offers strong technical expertise in and knowledge of income tax in Australia. Developed through her understanding of Australia’s tax law landscape Yina’s clients value her ability to make her taxation advice relatable. Her role is to understand the tax law and communicate how it applies to her client’s individual circumstances so they can make informed decisions regarding the taxation aspects of business structuring, capital gains tax and a range of transactions
Particular areas of interest to Yina include staying updated with the evolving regulatory landscape around income tax in Australia. She also enjoys assisting her clients in engaging with the relevant departmental and regulatory stakeholders on a range of issues, including taxation issues and the impacts on a business’s commerciality.
A key focus of Yina’s work is taking the time to speak to her clients to understand exactly what they want to achieve. This approach helps Yina make sure her clients ask the right questions for their circumstances, ensuring her advice covers exactly what her clients need to know. Sometimes this can include engaging with and working collaboratively with other specialists across the firm – a key benefit of having a supportive, team-oriented culture.
Not only has working with people across the firm helped Yina build strong relationships with her colleagues, but it encourages her to remain curious, ask lots of questions, and learn about other advisory areas. This approach sets Pitcher Partners apart, and it provides Yina’s clients with not only the technical expertise they expect but a personal, genuine approach as well.
