With a vision to leverage his hands-on business skills and IT expertise for the benefit of other business owners, Rob joined Pitcher Partners in 2004 and became a Partner in 2011. He retired from the partnership in 2023, but remains a consultant in the firm’s Data and Digital Solutions practice.
Rob has extensive experience advising clients around technology and management consulting needs. He works predominantly with corporates and privately held businesses, with a focus on manufacturing, retail, wholesale distribution, utilities and health.
Rob has been the Project Director on several business system procurement projects within the health and NFP sectors. He is an expert in governance frameworks, sourcing strategy, IT implementation and IT infrastructure contract negotiation. His sound strategic, technical and operational skills add value and contribute to growth.
Pitcher Partners Consulting team has more than doubled under Rob’s leadership. The breadth of the firm’s offering in this area has also extended beyond technology to management consulting, the digital space, human capital, and change management. With business needs and industry trends constantly evolving, Rob enjoys designing new processes and systems and solving fresh challenges for clients.
Rob ran his own IT consulting business for more than 18 years. His passion for the industry was inspired when computer programming was still in its infancy, and a digital future was just a prediction. Working in industry and writing his own ERP systems from scratch in those early days gave him deep insight into the mechanics of both tech and business. It is a hallmark of Rob’s career that he has continued to seize professional opportunities to innovate and stay at the forefront of technology.
